Tomorrow, Tomorrow...As Little Annie would say!
Tomorrow is the big day. After six months of writing, producing, and pre-production, the very exciting and quasi-scary movie day has come.
JUNE 17-JUNE 26 - CAIRO
19 BIG HOURS after take off I will be landing in Cairo meeting up with my production associate, Hamid, who's flying in from Germany, Ayman who is the Egyptian filmmaker, and many other people from Cairo who will be helping on the shoot.
JUNE 26-JULY 4 - YEMEN
Seven days later it is off to Yemen! Most of course have heard of Yemen, but what have we heard? The truth . . . or the non-truth. Probably a bit of both. Yes, there is the highest number of weapons per capita and yes, according to the three religious heads of Abraham, Noah's arch set sail from this country, and yes, Sana'a is, well about 10 TIMES older than the United States (remember, 1792 or 1793, not 1776) and they even had their very own STATE (in terms of political organization) some 1000 years before England got on the ball -> but what do we know about it now?
JULY 4-JULY 11 - JORDAN
Seven days later it is on to Jordan . . . where I will be working with Mohammad the Filmmaker, the Jordanian government and the fabolous Attayak cousins in Wadi Rum Bedouin Roads. Traveling up and down this small country, making stops in Petra as well and filming three generations of women to see how time (and knowledge) improves people's lives in terms of access to society.
JULY 11-JULY 18 - MOROCCO
Finally, and once again seven days later, it is on to Morocco where I won't be doing the Bogart, but will be spending some time in the city Hollywood attempted to re-create on the backlot. No backlot for me! This will be in the front yard!
Stay tuned for more once the landing takes place and the camera starts to roll. Ohhhh, let the good times roll and let those be safe and fruitful times at that my friends!
